Meet The Instructor Ken Howard, LCSW, CST

I’ve been a gay men’s specialist psychotherapist and life/career/executive coach for 32 years, based in Los Angeles and West Hollywood, California, the most experienced gay men’s specialist psychotherapist in the United States today. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California, and also an AASECT (American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapists) Certified Sex Therapist. I am the host of the “Gay Therapy LA with Ken Howard, LCSW, CST” podcast, with over 140 episodes supporting the mental health and well-being of gay men in their careers and relationships, heard monthly in over 125 countries around the world. I’m the founder of GayTherapyLA.com and GayCoachingLA.com, where my blog library has over 200 articles on many aspects of quality of life for gay men. I’m a retired Adjunct Associate Professor from the Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work at the University of Southern California, where I taught graduate MSW students in courses in evidence-based psychotherapy, couples therapy, and LGBT psycho-social-political issues. I am a graduate of USC (MSW) and UCLA (BA). I have taught courses, seminars, and conference presentations on HIV/AIDS mental health, psychiatric disabilities, substance abuse recovery, healthy aging, and motivation for fitness.

Ken is a consummate professional, combining the best in common sense, practical business coaching, and a solid grounding in evidence-based psychotherapy. There are few of his ilk.
